Red Star Private Funding was built by someone who has been on your side of the table. Owner David Gilley has spent 27 years in contracting, remodeling, and construction — designing, managing budgets, and building everything from luxury lake homes to large-scale commercial projects across Central Florida.

David Gilley

With 27 years of hands-on contracting and remodeling experience, David Gilley can design, manage the budget, and build virtually anything — residential and 90% of commercial. He has spent over 26 years in the luxury home improvement space, working alongside firms such as Marx & Michaels of Winter Park, HG Construction, Winter Park Construction, and Phil Keen Design Architecture — completing some of the largest and most prestigious homes in the Winter Park and Orlando metro areas.
David specializes in lake home restoration, beach home upgrades, outdoor kitchens, indoor living space transformations, and overall maintenance and repair. He holds a Certified Master Brick Mason designation and brings deep expertise in plan review, budgeting, consulting, and construction management.
Having borrowed money for over 25 years as an active investor, David founded Red Star Private Funding to be the lender he always wished existed — one that not only provides capital but ensures borrowers have the knowledge, support, and project oversight to succeed and pay it back.
